Interislander takes very seriously its responsibility for the safety and comfort of all passengers.
Ask any of the terminal staff at any time for assistance - they are only too happy to help
The following provides information and guidance for those passengers with disabilities.
Wellington
Foot passengers
Elderly or disabled passengers travelling on foot can arrange a ride up the gangway onto the ship by advising either check-in staff when collecting their boarding passes, or the security officer at the gangway entrance.
Vehicle passengers
Elderly or disabled passengers travelling in a vehicle should advise terminal staff at the time of check-in, who can arrange for the vehicle to be parked as closely to the onboard elevator as possible.
Disabled Toilets
Disabled toilets are available in the departure terminal.
Picton
Foot passengers
Elderly or disabled passengers travelling on foot should use the elevator giving access to the first floor of the Picton terminal. Elderly or disabled passengers can arrange a ride up the gangway onto the ship by advising either check-in staff when collecting their boarding passes, or the security officer at the gangway entrance.
Vehicle passengers
Elderly or disabled passengers travelling in a vehicle should advise terminal staff at the time of check-in, who can arrange for the vehicle to be parked as closely to the onboard elevator as possible.
Train passengers
Elderly or disabled passengers travelling by train should advise the onboard services staff if you require assistance to the train station from the Picton Terminal. They will arrange a ride to the station for you.
Disabled Toilets
Disabled toilets are available in the departure terminal.
