Ferry timetable

We have six return sailings a day between Wellington and Picton. 

Minor change to Aratere timetable: From 8 January the 3:45PM Wellington to Picton sailing will depart at 4:00PM and the 8:35PM Picton to Wellington sailing will depart at 8:50PM. Final check remains one hour before departure.

Final check in times:

  • Vehicles: One hour before departure
  • Foot passengers: 60 minutes before departure.
    In Wellington, a shuttle bus departs from Platform 10 of the Wellington Railway Station, 70 minutes before each sailing. This will get you to the ferry in time. 

You should allow three and half hours for the sailing.
