Ferry timetable
We have eight sailings across Cook Strait each day.
This timeable applies when Kaiārahi returns from drydock in late August. It will be in operation over the summer period.
Night time sailings are only open for passengers with vehicles during the summer months.
Wellington to Picton

Final check in times:
- Vehicles: 60 minutes before departure
- Foot passengers: 60 minutes before departure.
In Wellington, a shuttle bus departs from Platform 10 of the Wellington Railway Station, 70 minutes before each sailing. This will get you to the ferry in time.
You should allow three and half hours for the sailing.
