Valentine

The Valentine is a roll on, roll off cargo ship built at Kawasaki Heavy Industries in Sakaide, Japan in 1999. It has the ability to carry trucks and rail freight.
The Valentine joined the Interislander fleet in 2021 to increase freight capacity while the Kaiarahi was out of service with a gear box failure.
Kiwirail announced in the sale of Valentine in 2023.
