1. Competition Terms and Promoter

This competition is promoted by Interislander, a service operated by KiwiRail Limited (“Promotor”), in partnership with Garden Marlborough and Scenic Hotel Group. These Competition Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to this competition.  These Terms form an agreement between each entrant ("you") and the Promoter. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these Terms.

2. Eligibility

The competition is open to New Zealand residents aged 18 years or over.

Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, Garden Marlborough, Scenic Hotel Group, and associated agencies are not eligible to enter.

By entering, participants confirm they meet all eligibility requirements and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

3. Competition Period

The competition opens at 12:01am NZT on 25 August 2025 and closes at 11:59pm NZT on 15 September 2025.

Entries received outside of this period will not be accepted.

4. How to Enter

To enter, participants must complete the online entry form available on the Interislander competition landing page during the competition period.

Required fields include:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email Address
  • Region
  • Optional: Mobile Number
  • Tick-box consent: "I agree to receiving email marketing communications from Interislander, Garden Marlborough and Scenic Hotel."

Only one entry per person is permitted. The Promoter reserves the right to deem as invalid any entries which are incomplete, corrupted, altered or fraudulent; which do not comply with these Terms; and/or made by organised groups or automatically generated by computer. 

5. Prize

One winner will receive the following prize package:

  • 2x tickets to An Evening with Jamie Durie – International Garden Star on Friday 7 November 2025, 6:30–8:30pm
  • 2x Tickets to a Half Day Garden Tour
  • Return Interislander ferry travel for two (Wellington – Picton)
  • Two nights’ accommodation for two at Scenic Hotel Marlborough

6. Prize Conditions

Prize is not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.

Travel and accommodation must be used on the dates specified (7–9 November 2025).

Any additional costs, including transport to and from departure terminals, meals, insurance, and incidentals, are the responsibility of the winner.

The winner must comply with all Interislander terms and conditions relating to the Prize.

The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of equal or greater value if required.

7. Winner Selection

The winner will be drawn at random from all eligible entries on 16 September 2025 and contacted via the email address provided, and will be required to confirm acceptance of the prize within 5 working days. 

If the winner does not accept their prize or does not respond within the required 5 working days, a new winner may be drawn.

8. Privacy

By entering, participants consent to their personal information being used for the purposes of administering the competition, verifying the validity of entries, contacting the winner and for marketing communications from Interislander, Garden Marlborough, and Scenic Hotel, if they have opted in.

Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy.

9. General

The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the competition at any time without notice.

The Promoter's decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

The Promoter is not responsible for any technical malfunctions or issues with entering the competition.

Subject to any applicable law that cannot be excluded, the Promoter is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage to persons or property arising from the use or enjoyment of the prize (including but not limited to direct, indirect or consequential loss or loss arising from negligence) arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with the competition or the prize.

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Meta, Google or any third-party platform.
