Terms & Conditions

The ‘Guess the Eggs and Win with Interislander’ Competition (‘Competition’) is a limitedtime Competition run by KiwiRail Limited trading as Interislander (“Promoter”). 

By entering this Competition, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. 

  • Participants must guess how many Easter eggs are contained in the official Interislander Easter egg jars. 

  • Entries may be submitted via the official Interislander website online entry form and/or via Interislander Facebook and Instagram pages. 

  • Strictly one entry per person is permitted. 

  • Only correct guesses will be eligible for the prize draw. If no correct guesses are received, the Promoter reserves the right to determine an alternative draw method. 

 

Prizes may include:  

  • The Easter egg jars themselves 

  • Interislander ferry travel vouchers 

  • Interislander merchandise, including tote bags, hats, water bottles, picnic blankets, and puzzles 

  • Prizes will be allocated at random. Each prize may consist of one or more of the listed items; however, receipt of multiple items is not guaranteed. 

  • Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash. 

  • Travel prizes are subject to booking availability and Interislander’s standard booking terms and conditions. 

  • The Competition runs from 8:00am on 2 April 2026 to 11:59pm on 5 April 2026. 

  • Entries must be received within this period to be eligible. 

a. Six (6) winners will be drawn at random from all eligible and correct entries on 7 April 2026. 

b. Winners will be notified by email using the details provided at entry. 

c. If a winner cannot be contacted within five (5) working days, the prize will be forfeited and redrawn. 

d. The Promoter is not responsible for any failure to record an entry. All decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into. 

  • Entry is open to the public. Entrants do not need to be New Zealand residents; however, entrants must be physically located in New Zealand at the time of the prize draw and have a contactable New Zealand address for prize fulfilment. 

  • Employees of KiwiRail Limited or KiwiRail Holdings Limited are not eligible to enter. 

  • Entrants may opt in to receive marketing communications from Interislander and may unsubscribe at any time. 

The Promoter reserves the right to deem as invalid any entries:  

  1. which are incomplete, corrupted, altered or fraudulent;  

  1. which do not comply with these terms and conditions; or 

  1. made by organised groups or automatically generated by computer. 

The Promoter reserves the right to carry out all actions as it deems reasonably necessary to protect itself against invalid claims and the right to withhold the award or delivery of a Prize until such verifications are met to its reasonable satisfaction. 

The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend, or terminate the Competition at any time. If a prize becomes unavailable, the Promoter may substitute it with a prize of equal or greater value. 

Entry into the Competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions. 

 

  1. Entry into the Competition shall be deemed consent to receiving emails from or on behalf of the Promoter about similar products, offers and promotions. 

  1. The Promoter will not otherwise share an entrant’s details with any third party without the entrant’s consent except for the purposes of the Competition or assisting the Promoter in communicating with entrants. Entrants can opt out of receiving marketing communications by clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ function within the marketing emails they receive 

  1. Acceptance of a Prize is deemed consent for the Promoter to use the winner’s details for promotional and media purposes 

Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage, personal injury whatsoever, including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss, which is suffered or sustained arising out of or in connection with the Prize or Prize Draw.
